Under 40K on the car, the clutch needed to be replaced, Subaru says its my fault for driving the car too fast. The thing is blue which means I drove it to hard. And that means its been driven hard. Here is the break down of the cost, mostly parts. I took pictures of the clutch and fly wheel
Bummer, I have an 09 WRX which is heavily modified (430Whp) on stock block, tranny/clutch. I’ve got 35K miles and the car is a daily driver. I don’t drive it extremely hard, but I’ve never experienced ANY clutch slips or gear issues. Of course, I don’t do launches, so that certainly helps.

watch when your secondary air pump goes. a lot of people with that problem and im one of them. only 44,000miles on car and its messed up. they want 800$. im starting to hate subies. ooh yeah my cluch went to on my 2006 wrx with 40,000miles.

Sorry but a Subaru being driven TOO HARD? I thought they were built to be driven hard? I have an EP3 Type R and its absolutely bullet proof, clutch will need replacing soon i think (i dread to think of cost with the subframe needing to be dropped out) but still, performance cars are meant to be just that, performance, not supermarket daily runs. Subaru i think are blowing hot and cold recently with their excuses to customers.
