Well i cant wait anymore, I wanted to see if the tires that came with the wrx 265 where going to hold up given that the car was AWD.
So far they did ok, but today maybe because it was too cold, i found the traction very low, I slipped and slid on take off and as I slowed down.
So i have to bite the bullet and get the ugly steel rims, and snow tires.
heyy man me again!
hows the leg??
and did the car come with all-seasons??
if they did, all-seasons loose there grip after 7 degrees !
pretty extreme eh?
got you xmas shopping done??
laterr

Hi Man
The leg is fine, i can do some basic walking and can drive (YAY)
Yea the car has V rated tires, 0 grip, need snow tired badly, the car can take off, but cant stop well in snow.
cheapest i found today are bridgestore at 208$/pop, outch, but i need them, the
car does know how to drive slow.

Why do you have to buy the steel rims? Are you just saying you want two sets of wheels? I just bought a WRX… and it’s fast, fast, fast.
Also, as to breaking the engine in. Do you know what the ramifications are for going over 4krpm are? Is it you either blow the seals or your engine is fine – or is their long term damage? Perosnally, I’ve only gone over 4k a couple of times to 4.5. Keep the posts coming…

Hi ICT
I dont have to buy the steel rims, but its a pain to put the tires on the rims, and then take them out every season, its will just be so much easier and in the long term cost effective i would think as they will charge me to reinstall the tires every season.
I am not sure about breaking in the engine, I know long time ago they used to make u drive slow for the first 1000 Km, but i dont know if that is the case any more
